foundation ch, work 2dc in fi rst ch,

the fi rst ch. Turn.

next 31 dc, (2dc in next dc, 1dc in
next dc) three times, work 1dc in
next 30 dc, (2dc in next dc, 1dc in
next dc) twice, join with a sl st to
fi rst ch. Turn.
Round 4 – 1ch, 1dc in the same
place as the sl st, work 1dc in each
of the next two dc, (2dc in next dc, dc

Note: This is an intermediate
skill-level crochet project.
Read all the instructions
before you start. This is an
ideal stash-busting project.
When selecting your assorted
yarns, try to have them as
similar in fibre type, weight
and texture as possible.
Eight assorted cotton and
linen yarns were used in
the photographed project.
Crochet instructions are
provided using Australian/UK
crochet terminology. North
American readers should

consult a crochet manual
to ensure they interpret the
instructions correctly. This
project is worked on a size
smaller crochet hook than
usually specified for 8 ply yarn
to result in a firmer fabric.
No tension is given for this
project – the finished size
of your piece may vary from
the measurements given
depending on the particular
yarns you select and your
normal working tension. You
can add or subtract rounds to
adjust the size of your case.
