Michael Mosley has an unparalleled thirst for knowledge that
has led him on many an adventure in the name of scientific
research over the years. In latest offering Meet the Humans,
the British doctor embarks on a series of social experiments
designed to shed light on how human beings are wired.
“We thought it would be quite fun to make a program
looking at human behaviour in the same ways you might
look at animal behaviour,” Mosley tells Foxtel magazine.
Set in a stately home, each episode puts a new group
of participants in a different scenario – from a high school
reunion to blind dating – blissfully unaware that Mosley and
his team are watching and analysing them from another room.
“The thing I love about the series was the unexpectedness
- the people really didn’t behave the way you thought they
would,” Mosley explains. “It’s a high-risk adventure, but it
turned out better than we expected.”
Meet the Humans premieres Thursday April 26 at 8.30pm
on BBC Knowledge [612].

Terri, Bindi and Robert Irwin are returning
to our screens for a very special series.
The avid wildlife conservationists are on
a mission: to educate and inspire the next
generation of ‘wildlife warriors’ as part of their
commitment to continue the late Steve Irwin’s
incredible legacy.
As well as opening the doors to Australia Zoo,
cameras follow the trio as they travel the globe
protecting endangered and injured species.
“We definitely don’t live a common life and
I’ve been lucky as a kid [to have] an amazing
childhood surrounded by animals,” reflects
14-year-old Robert. “When you walk around the
zoo, you can feel Dad’s presence and everyone
is passionate in keeping his dream alive.”
It’s a sentiment echoed by mum Terri and
sister Bindi, 19 (pictured from left with Robert).
“It’s like Dad is always with us, so I think that
as a family we’re extremely blessed to get to
continue on where he left off,” she says with
a smile, while Terri adds: “We’re honouring
his legacy and his passion.”
The Irwins’ new program will be coming
to Animal Planet [615] later this year.
