He’s been a pivotal part of the cast of reality
series Million Dollar Listing New York since
the show debuted in 2012. Now, real estate
agent Ryan Serhant is setting out on his own,
imparting his vast knowledge of the sales
industry on struggling businesses.
“People reach out all the time
who are in tough positions,” he tells
Foxtel magazine. “So in my show
I go into a diferent shop every
episode – whether it’s selling hot
tubs or body waxing – and I help
people become better salespeople.”
Adding to the pressure is the fact
that Serhant is shooting both projects
simultaneously. “We’ll be filming at the
exact same time, so trying to balance
everything will be a little hard,” he admits.
Sell It Like Serhant screens EXPRESS
Thursdays from April 12 at 7.30pm on Arena [105].

You can take the girl out of sport, but the former
AFL player-turned-W-League commentator will
make sure she always has her eye on the ball
My current Foxtel TV obsession is... sport. The
NRL – every game, every week. If we’re home
the TV is on sport, even just in the background,
and if we’re not, it’s being recorded on iQ.
When I watch TV I must have... the remote.
I’m a control freak, I’ll admit it, and it stops
anyone else from changing the channel.
My dream evening of television would
include... an international, a grand final
or a derby – preferably soccer. But I’m
a lover of all sports, so as long as there
are athletes out there I’m pretty happy.
I understand the sacrifice it takes,
the investment that’s made and
that feeling of going into a battle
- it’s empowering, it’s inspiring,
it’s emotional and it’s even better
when my favourite team wins!
My dream TV-watching
companion is... my hubby and
my old teammates – we get
very loud, opinionated and
passionate. I also have a soft
spot for Game of Thrones
and Vikings – but for that
I like to be alone, in silence,
so I don’t miss anything.
My first TV crush was... Oh that’s
an embarrassing question! Believe it
or not I never had a TV or movie star crush
until recently and it’s not even a sportsperson:
it’s Chris Hemsworth in Thor and Björn Ironside
(Alexander Ludwig) from Vikings – is there
some pattern there? Probably.
