mean well, but don’t realise that it puts you
on a slippery slope.)
‘I deserve a treat. I’ve earned it because...’
(And your ‘treat’ is something destructive that
can even be a ‘trigger’ food for you.)
‘I’ll work it off.’ (Meaning you’ll do an extra
 minutes in the gym or walk an extra 
minutes. All noble thoughts, and excellent for
helping your body in so many ways, BUT how
many Syns have you actually eaten and how
many calories do you stand any realistic chance
of burning off with that extra exercise?)
‘It’s just my natural body shape and I’ll never
be slim.’ (This self-defeating statement is
something that your past history has
brainwashed you into believing and is simply
not true, but it’s a hard one to kick out – so
remember Slimming World is here for you.)
We have several systems at Slimming World that
help you develop your own personal list, in private,
to see where your ‘tripwires’ are just lying in

wait to sabotage you. Find those and you’ll find
that you’ve written a different script for your
life. You’ve designed and started a brand-new
chapter that has led to vastly improved health
and immense happiness.
So when I wish you a very happy New Year,
I don’t just mean enjoy all the great parties – I
mean have a lasting, deeply, truly happy Š. You
really do deserve it and together we can achieve,
because at Slimming World we do believe – in you,
and in all our methods that are helping hundreds
of thousands of our lovely members find out how
amazing they really are.
