03: DESIGN LONGVIEW HOUSE
LOCATION WILDES MEADOW,
NEW SOUTH WALES
With views like this, who believes they could
actually get any work done? Set on 40 hectares
of New South Wales pastureland, this active
cattle venture features a home offi ce with more
than 180-degree views of the surrounding land.
With windows forming the walls on three sides,
this offi ce receives plenty of natural light and
fresh breezes. Should you need a little break
from the books, a double glass door provides
direct access outside, taking you directly to
the ‘fi eld’ when needed. Thankfully, block-out
blinds provide the opportunity to turn off the
view, so at least you’ve got half a chance of
getting things done.

04: DESIGN SUBURBAN DELIGHT
LOCATION NORTH SHORE, SYDNEY
Reconfi guring a new fl oorplan within the
existing footprint of this family home on
Sydney’s lower North Shore netted this family
two main living spaces, including a kitchen/
family area at the rear of the house that opens
out to the back yard and features built-in
joinery units that act as storage and banquette
seating. In addition, the home offi ce space
provides the owners with a highly functional
zone to suit their need for contemporary
family living. “Before, when the computer was
in a separate room, I felt like I couldn’t really
participate in what was happening,” says the
owner. “But now, because the computer is
here, I can be in the kitchen and helping with
homework at the same time.”
