Tropical. Island.

Resort. How can

three little words

mean so much?

In the spirit of

endless summers

and achieving peak

bliss, we’ve combed

the equator for the

dreamiest escapes

calling

THE SCENE... Club^
Med’s own private atoll
in the Indian Ocean does
the all-inclusive luxury
resort thing in style. Nature
has a permanent Instagram
filter on here – the sand is
whiter, the water is bluer,
the light is brighter and
the sunsets spectacular.
EAT AND DRINK...
Expect an impressive
international buffet,

including fresh-caught
seafood, a Maldives dietary
staple. World-class chefs
are on hand to cook up
every imaginable cuisine to
order – plus indulge in some
truly amazing desserts.
TREAT YOURSELF...
marie claire checked
out the Club Med Spa by
Mandara – the 50-minute
foot reflexology session was
a next-level relaxation

experience (priced at
approx $140 – treatments
cost extra on top of the
all-inclusive package). For
the ultimate splurge, book
a massage at the Finolhu
Villas Club Med Spa by Ila,
where a glass-bottom floor
lets you view tropical
marine life during your
treatment.
DON’T MISS... Whittle
away the pre-cocktail hours
with some snorkelling,
stand-up paddleboarding,
surfing and kayaking.
Thrill-seekers can get
their adrenaline hit via

parasailing, jet skiing
or flyboarding.
NEED TO KNOW...
The island nation is Muslim,
so in public areas such as
the airport be respectful of
the local culture and dress
modestly – with hemlines
below the knee and sleeves
to the elbow. Once on the
resort islands, dress as you
normally would for a beach
holiday. Lightweight clothes
and minimal make-up
will combat the 80 to 90
per cent humidity, and
leave your heels at home

  • you won’t wear them.
