EDITOR’S COMMENT

Mark Glancy took this great photo of

people watching fireworks during the

2015 Christmas light show in Brisbane.

He says it was only while shooting he

realised he could mask the pops of

light to make the shot. “I ended up with

about 25 images in total, which I then

merged together with Photoshop.” he

says. Mark’s framing of the spectators

with the fireworks makes it a much

more engaging shot than just the

fireworks would be on their own. The

spectator leaning back and enjoying

the show in the foreground is a neat

touch – it really makes you feel like

you’re in there watching them with

everyone else.
