ara Cranfield jokes that
her husband Brad doesn’t
have any emotions, but
even this burly former
footballer and coal miner admits
witnessing their baby Harry’s
arrival was a “bit full-on” after
a marathon 48 hours.
“I think he had a tear in his
eye but he reckons he didn’t,”
reveals Lara, who happily says
she cried tears of relief when
her bub arrived after a painful

stop-start labour ended in an
emergency caesarean.

Amazing joy
“As soon as he
came out there
was that rush of
love,” she says.
“When I kissed
him I had that
instant connection. He was so
adorable. He’s pretty perfect,
really. I could do it all again

tomorrow. Brad wants three
boys but I’d love a little girl.”
Little Harry
has a wisp of
soft dark hair,
clear blue eyes
and Brad’s “old
man forehead”

    something of interest.
“Yes, he has got my forehead,
    poor little bugger!” laughs Brad.
