The perfect pregnancy came
to its conclusion on a Sunday
night, when Lara’s waters broke
and Harry was fi nally born.
“I’m not a crier but it was a
proud moment,” Brad says.
He and Lara decided not to
fi nd out the sex of their baby, but
everyone they met insisted it was
a boy, and both now admit they
had their hearts set on a son.
“It was just a relief to know he
was perfect,” Brad says. “It’s anamazing feeling. He loves his
bath and that’s one of the jobs
I get to do. He’s going to be tall,
so maybe he’ll end up like me in
the front row of his footy team.”
Lara says Brad may not often
reveal his softer side, but she
couldn’t have gone through her
“scary” labour without him.
“He’s a great dad and always
has his cuddles in the morning,
and I don’t think you can give
them enough cuddles!”P
olly reckons a clairvoyant
told her the sex of her baby
just weeks after she’d fallen
pregnant – and it’s a girl!
“A couple of
days after I took
a pregnancy test
I had a massage,
and the masseuse
also happened to
be a clairvoyant,”
explains Polly, 29, who says the
masseuse immediately asked her
if she was “nesting”.
“I denied it, but she continued
to tell me all she could see was
baby things... and asked me why
that might be. I fi nally told her
I was pregnant, and she told me
that it was a girl.”
Things became even spookier
when the masseuse – who has
a reputation for being accurate- also told Polly what name they
were going to call their baby –
even though she and 32-year-old
Waz were keeping their two top
choices secret.
Despite the prediction, Polly
and Waz have decided to wait
for the “ultimate surprise” – and
they think their baby is a boy!
Either way the pair, who won
$115,00 onThe Block in 2011 , feel
lucky that Polly
has avoided any
complications, like
morning sickness.
“Our baby kicks
and wriggles and
is doing all of the
things babies are meant to do,”
says kindergarten teacher Polly,
who adds that her students love
touching her bump and talking
