CLEAN AND
REPAIR FLYSCREENS
It’s only once you’ve cleaned your
flyscreens you realise how dirty
they have become! Take them off
the windows, lay flat, give them a
light scrub with soapy water then
hose off. If a flyscreen is torn,
replace it. Take the rubber spline
from the back of the frame and
place the new material over it. Use
a spline roller to push the spline
back into the groove in the frame,
ensuring the screen remains taut.
WASH WALLS
Giving your walls
a good wash is
the next best thing
to a fresh coat of
paint. Mix a sugar
soap solution in
a bucket and get
to it. Scuffs or
scrapes in high-
traffic areas can be
removed with a bit
of elbow grease.
Avoid using
harsh cleaners
or scrubbing
too much as this
may damage
the paintwork.
KEEP YOUR COOL
Make your air
conditioner work as
efficiently as possible
by cleaning the filter.
Check your system’s
manual for the
location of the filter
and the best way
to clean it. If your
air conditioner is
noisy or not cooling
effectively, you may
need to replace it.
For a new cooling system air conditioner, consider
the Digital Inverter Split System range, Toshiba.
