ADJUST KITCHEN CUPBOARDS
Are all the doors on your cupboards out of line? The problem
is the hinges. With constant use they can work their way out of
position so the door sags. To straighten them, all you need is a
screwdriver. On the part of the hinge that sits
on the cabinet, there are adjusting screws that
move the door up and down, in and out, and
side to side. Give the screws a slight turn to
move the doors until they are all back in line.
ADJUST
SLIDING DOORS
If you have to wrestle
with your sliding doors
to move them, the fix
may be as simple as
adjusting the rollers.
Look for holes on the
sides of the doors
that give access to
the adjusting screws
(plastic caps may
be covering them).
Stick a screwdriver
through and give the
screws a few turns to
lift the door. If you
still have no joy, you
might have to replace
the rollers. Take out
the door, unscrew
the rollers and take
them with you to the
hardware store to
get a matching pair.

WASH YOUR
WINDOWS
Clean windows
makes your home
look better from the
outside and improves
the view from inside
too. Sweep down first
then grab a bucket
of soapy water and
a squeegee. Start
at the top working
your way down the
window. Wipe the
squeegee after
each pass for a
streak-free finish.
