os Angeles is a key destination for Virgin Australia, both
as a popular business and holiday spot for Australians
and as the gateway hub for guests travelling to North
and Central America, as well as Canada. Virgin Australia operates
flights from Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney to Los Angeles,
while its alliance partner Delta Air Lines also operates flights
from Sydney to Los Angeles.
Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is undergoing
a $14 billion modernisation program, which is designed to help
improve the passenger experience and relieve traic congestion,
to evolve LAX into a world-class airport. As part of this program,
one of the largest terminal moves in the history of commercial
aviation will occur at LAX this month.

VIRGIN AUSTRALIA
Virgin Australia flights to
and from Los Angeles will
continue to operate from the
Tom Bradley International
Terminal (TBIT) at LAX. Virgin
Australia check-in will relocate
from Terminal 3 to Terminal 2,
with check-in to commence at
Terminal 2 on 13 May 2017. After
check-in, guests should follow
signs to TBIT for their Virgin
Australia flight departure.

PARTNER AIRLINES
Delta Air Lines is relocating
from Terminals 5 and 6
to Terminals 2 and 3 at LAX.
Delta’s move is a precursor
to the airline’s $1.9 billion
plan to modernise, upgrade
and connect Terminals 2,
3 and TBIT at LAX over the
next seven years. The move
is scheduled to start on 12 May
and will impact 21 airlines
during a one-week period.
During this time, guests
connecting between Delta
Air Lines and Virgin Australia
flights should see staf and
information screens for up-
to-date flight information.
Virgin America is relocating
from Terminal 3 to Terminal
6 on 12 May and plans to
commence operations at
Terminal 6 on 13 May.
From 13 May, transfer
buses will operate from
Terminals 2 and 3 to connect
guests to their Virgin Australia
flights in TBIT. Guests should
simply provide their boarding
passes at the Bus Gates at Gate
35 (T3) and Gate 22 (T2).
Guests can confirm their
check-in information on
the Virgin Australia website.
Information will be updated
as changes occur so passengers
are advised to visit the website
before travelling. Guest
itineraries will be updated to
provide the correct terminal
check-in information.
During the move, additional
staf will be on hand to assist
with directions throughout LAX.
