Craig David at Ibiza Rocks: “Hands up
who thinks I should take my shirt off?”

Basically Ibiza’s
version of a
welcome mat

If it’s good enough for
Kate Moss...

IBIZA ROCKS,

NOW THIS REALLY
DOES SOUND LIKE
I NEVER NEED TO
LEAVE THE HOTEL...
Indeed. This 368-room
hotel is party central. For
starters, there are actual
live music gigs, not just
DJs, and they’re even
having their own two-day
Caribbean-style carnival
this June (15th and 19th)
with Sean Paul, Lethal
Bizzle and Toddla T; think
reggae, grime, and drum
’n’ bass. Prepare to twerk
and jerk. Handily, you
don’t actually have to be
Mark Zuckerberg to be
able to afford a round
of drinks here, either.

WHAT’S THE
CROWD LIKE?
Hot couples with expert
tans and dazzling grins;
girls decked out like VIPs
in clingy dresses but never
heels (six-inch stilettos
can stay at home); the
obligatory groups of

friends fighting over the
pink inflatable flamingoes
in the pool and looking for
a good time until sunrise.
Oh, and the occasional
older guest who discovered
the White Isle back in the
’90s and now can’t stay
away. And who could
blame them?

WHAT SHOULDN’T
I MISS?
There’s
a Craig
David TS5
day-to-
night pool
party at
the hotel
every
Thursday
(for 10
weeks,
kicking off
20th July,
see below) and weekly live
gigs each Tuesday, too –
think Ed Sheeran, Kasabian
and Biffy Clyro. Basically,
the stars come to you,
which is handy. We Are
Rockstars Pool Parties
(various dates) are
legendary and kick off at
1pm, meaning you get
a lot of tanning

and tunes for
a £15 ticket
and the chance
to dance to
the likes of
Charlie Sloth,
Devlin and Ko Kane.
And when there aren’t
international names in
town, the hotel’s resident
DJs take up the mantle

  • Oli P, Danny Beck and
    Patrick Nazemi.

AND WHEN I’M DONE
WITH ALL THAT?
You grab a green juice from
the lobby bar and enjoy

a Marine Deep Massage
(€45 for 60 minutes)
at Massage Beach
(Massagebeach.com),
set up right next to the
hotel’s main pool. The
pressure’s intense, but after
all that dancing, your
muscles need help. Then
head to the chill-out
pool (strictly no ravers
allowed) to lie on a Bali
day bed until a sense
of normality returns.
