Make sure you pack:

A

sk the Goddess to keep you safe
while you’re on your travels:
l Pack comfrey leaves to ward off theft.
l Protect yourself with snowflake obsidian.^
Hold a tumble stone against your abdomen,
imagining a protective cloak around you.
Always have the stone with you.
l To prevent car accidents, pour boiling water over
feverfew herbs. Add this to your bath before you go, imagining
a protective glow around you. Take feverfew on road trips.
l Carry aquamarine, ruled by the Moon,
for uneventful sea travel.
l For a safe flight, rub sandalwood oil^
into a white candle,^
then surround^
it with three^
feathers. Burn
the candle^
chanting^
‘Bright
Brigid,
Goddess
of the sky,^
Protect me all the^
while I fly.’ Put the feathers
in your hand luggage.

P

agans believe
the land is the^
Goddess. Goddess-
worship has only one
rule – harm none. All
acts of love and pleasure^
are her rituals.^
You can become a part^
of this by simply being in^
the moment and drinking in^
your surroundings. To ancient^
people, springs and rivers were^
the milk of the Goddess, hills and^
mountains were her breasts and belly. In the darkness of barrow-
mounds was the womb – a promise of rebirth given freely to all.

I

nvestigate local legends^
wherever you are to reveal and^
feel the the spirit of the place.^
When you find somewhere that^
feels special, sit and meditate.^
Bring a gift, such as herbs or^
seeds, or a few drops of water.^
Ask for healing, for yourself or^
someone you care for. There^
are many sacred springs where^
people tie scraps of their clothing^
to a nearby tree in order to
connect with the healing power.^
What do you sense? Make notes^
and take photos to compile
a Goddess travelogue.^

l Crystals and herbs^
l Goddess figure/jewellery
l Maps/navigation equipment

l Pen and pad
l Seeds to scatter as a gift
l Sensible walking shoes
