to 180% small, 220% large)outward and stand slightly taller
than hydrangeas. Positioning it at
side of wreath, angle a single rose
slightly and push stem in almost
completely. The different heights and
angles of flowers ensures centrepiece
looks less rigid and more natural.
STEP 4 Wire 6 sets of 3 pine cones
together. Using sets of pine cones,
berry sprays and foliage snippets,
space them around top and outer side
of wreath, filling in gaps. Cover any
leftover gaps by tucking then gluing
Spanish moss onto wreath base and
outer edge. Aim for a wreath that
sits flat but is covered so base isn’t
visible at top or around outer edge.
Let leaves and moss spill slightly
into wreath centre but leave it clear
for the hurricane vase and candle.

Felt sheets in desired colours (2 for
each topper); Kaisercraft Nesting
Circles Decorative Die Cuts (optional);
die-cutting machine (optional);
general sewing supplies; 10mm diam.

Here’s how
NOTES: 1. You can hand cut circles or
use circle dies and a die-cutting machine.
- If using die-cutting machine: onto
bottom die cutting plate, place a sheet
of cardstock, then felt, then the die
(face down), then the top plate, before
running it all through the machine.
STEP 1 Cut 12 felt circles, 6 measuring
53mm dia. and 6 measuring 35mm dia.
in contrasting or toning felt colours.
Thread a needle with matching sewing
thread and securely knot end.
STEP 2 For each double petal,
place a small circle on top of a large
circle, positioning it about 5mm from
‘bottom’ edge of large circle. Fold
stacked circles in half, ensuring outer
edges of both small and large circles
are even. Pass needle and thread
through the folded ‘double petal’,
about 7mm up from bottom of fold.
Ensure you catch both sides of folded
circles. Repeat until you have a total of
6 double petals on the one thread. Pull
thread ends together tightly to create
a circle of double petals then knot the
ends securely. Do not cut thread.
STEP 3 Arrange petals to your
satisfaction, gently separating
inner petal from outer petal by
lifting it and pulling it toward you
slightly. Securely stitch a button

Gather your supplies
Fiskars scalloped circle, and flower (or
similar) punches; POW Glitter Card,
colours to suit; Kaisercraft cardstock,
colours to suit; number stamps,
stencils or stickers; artist’s acrylic
paints in deeper tones than glitter
card; paintbrush; Kaisercraft Christmas
flourishes (laser-cut wooden shapes);
24 mini envelopes, 100 x 70mm; tacky
white glue; 3mm single hole punch;
gold paper fasteners (stationery
split pins); gold cord; tree branch;
faux berry garland; washi tapeHere’s how
STEP 1 Punch out 24 scalloped
circles and flowers from assorted
glitter card. Make 24 squares from
cardstock, each measuring 35 x
35mm. Number squares 1 to 25
either by stamping, stencilling or
sticking them in the square, ensuring
they are centred. Set aside.
STEP 2 Paint 24 assorted wooden
shapes in coordinating colours
to glitter card. Let dry.
STEP 3 Glue pairs of scalloped
circles and numbered squares to
each envelope front. Placement
can be a bit random but generally
the 2 shapes are on opposite sides
of vertical centre. Let scalloped
circles hang over envelope edges,
slightly, every now and again. Refer
to main photograph for guidance.
Embellish circle further with a painted
flourish, glued part on/part off.
STEP 4 Raise flap of each envelope
and glue punched flower in place,
just down from tip of flap. Puncha hole in centre of each flower.
Thread split pin through each hole to
envelope wrong side and open out.
STEP 5 Use gold cord to hang
envelopes in 4 x 6 grid from a branch
decorated with berry garland. Attach
1 vertical row at a time, running cord
behind envelopes and wrapping it
once around each open split pin.
Secure cord against back of each
envelope with a strip of washi tape.HARK THE HERALD ANGELS
