STEP 2 Brush the gold size randomly
onto a small section of the bauble’s
exterior. Let the size become tacky
before then pressing gold leaf onto
sized sections. Use bristle brush
to tamp down gold leaf and then
burnish with the stencil brush.

FELT DECORATIONS
Gather your supplies
Felt sheets in desired colours; DMC
Cotton Perle in toning variegated
shades or colour to suit; DMC stranded
embroidery cottons; felt heart
embellishments, 3cm (colour to suit (for
heart); general sewing supplies; pearl
beads, colour to suit (for heart); toy fill;
vanishing fabric marker pen (optional);
seed beads, gold or colours to suit (for
elongated heart); small button, colour
to suit (for elongated heart); gold spacer
beads (for felt star); sequins and seed
beads (2 each for reindeer eyes); yellow
seed beads (reindeer details) and purple
(pear detail); gold bell (reindeer); gold
cord or matching sparkly yarn (for hanger)

Here’s how
STEP 1 Photocopy to enlarge
heart, star, flowers, pear or reindeer
diagrams (right) then cut out.
STEP 2 Pin or trace around paper
pattern onto felt and then cut out
your desired felt shape. Repeat the
process. You will need 2 felt shapes
for each decoration. Refer to your
preferred decoration to complete.
