INSIGHTHigh school really sparked my love
of all things art. I was lucky enough to
attend a school that had great facilities
and fantastic teachers whose passions
were contagious. For any student
willing to learn, they had the time
to discuss and inspire exploration of
technique and subject, and they did
not hesitate to share their knowledge
of the industry. I cannot thank these
teachers enough, for they gave me
the belief that I could do whatever
I set my mind to, as they believed I
had a talent worth fostering. Over the
years this belief would be shaken, but
some lessons never leave you. My
high school years culminated with
being included in a VCE exhibition
at the National Gallery of Victoria, a
highlight that I have never forgotten.
I still look back on that time with
extremely fond memories of the
friends I made and of the teachers who
inspired me. All of these people had
a lasting effect on my art, and even
