Ferrari World. Hair-raising rides, fast cars and Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi

pure adrenaline – these are just some of the

things you’ll find at this Yas Island destination.

Apart from learning more about these

supercars, you’ll also find the world’s fastest

roller coaster, the Formula Rossa, modelled on

a real Ferrari F1 car. Put on your goggles and

get ready to reach a speed of 240kph in just

4.9 seconds. Meanwhile, Flying Aces has the

highest roller coaster loop on the planet and

the Turbo Track has zero gravity falls. There

are karting and simulator rides, too.

Fun City

One of the capital’s most popular play centres,

kiddies keep coming back to Fun City. A haven

area for young ones aged one to 12 years old,

Fun City is known to provide hours and hours

of energy-filled frolics for kids to play in a safe,

happy environment.

The Play Zone consists of a soft play

structure with a variety of colourful and

attractive elements to engage kids and,

while you may not think of it as quite the

edutainment spot, kids will engage in

constructive play, developing their physical,

social, mental and emotional skills.

Funworks

This venue is known for parties, mainly

because it’s all about giggles and wondrous

adventures. There are two floors full of

attractions at Funworks, which is a smaller

version of Fun City, where you’ll find adventure

rides, a giant soft play area, learning

workshops and toddler playgrounds.

There are kid-friendly dining options, and a

quiet parents’ lounge for Mum and Dad. Their

motto is “powered by play”, and that’s totally

fitting, with a Mini Works area for younger kids

too. Young ones of all ages can have fun at

Funworks, and they’ll find all sorts of wheels

big and small to keep them entertained for

hours.

Little World Discovery Center

It may technically be called an “indoor

playground”, but Little World is a concept

that’s based on education meets fun. This

centre is all about experiential, play-based

activities for kids.

Playing, creating, designing, building and

role-playing, kids aged zero to three come

in with a caregiver, while kids aged four and

above are checked in for some supervised

fun. When it comes to intellectual, emotional

and physical development, this discovery

centre is like no other.

There’s the Touch Tank, which is filled with

different types of starfish, crab, fish and sea

cucumbers for kids to marvel at, the sensory-

rich Little World’s Black Box Theatre, The

Back Yard, where kids can run across wooden

bridges or climb a large rock. This sounds like

so much fun.
