TOP TEN KIDS’ MOVIES OF ALL TIME
1
Beauty and the Beast (1991)
The first animated film to be nominatedfor an Academy Award, we’re still in love
with this Golden Age classic. We won’t eventalk about how the Celine Dion soundtrack
has captured hearts, but the story alone is asintriguing as can be.
2
Coco (2017)
The story of Miguel is a warm one that’s
all about family, so don’t be scared of allthe skeletons. You’ll have a good cry and the
kids will sing and dance with the very lovableCoco, too.
3
E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982)
This out-of-this-world tale captures
childhood at its best. Steven Spielbergtugs those heartstrings without going for
the usual, cliché tear-jerking moments – sothere’s actually substance to this one.
4
Finding Nemo (2003)
The lengths to which parents will go for
their kids – this is one very relatablefilm. Pixar’s vibrant underwater movie fulfils
the need for a light watch that will keep littleones entertained.
5
Frozen (2013)
We don’t need to explain this one – dowe? Queen Elsa and her sister Anna
may not be the most realistic, but the contrast
between their personalities, and funny storythat ends with a twist, makes this one to
watch (again).6
Harry Potter
We couldn’t pick just one, but the
entire series makes us want to apply
for Hogwarts. Yes, it does eventually get abit scary for tiny ones, but you can pick and
choose what part of the magical world you’dlike for the kids to be a part of.
7
Mary Poppins (1964)
We think that the sequel, Mary Poppins
Returns, has certainly managed to getkids interested in this magical story – yet
again. However, there’s a special place in ourheart for the original, which was created sans
advanced graphics.8
Moana (2016)
The beloved village princess takes to thesea to save her village, and her goals are
to become way more than what they wouldallow for her to be. There’s lots to be learned
from Moana, a story told with magnificientgraphics and a super motivational soundtrack.
9
Sleeping Beauty (1959)
This film is pretty to watch and thesoundtracks are so beautiful, they were
still used for Maleficent 55 years later – albeitwith a darker twist on the fairy tale. The
original Sleeping Beauty is one the kids canwatch over and over without getting bored –
and so can we.
10
Snow White and the Seven
Dwarfs (1937)Another Disney classic, this
charming story follows the usual princess-in-distress plot, but has tonnes of messages on
tolerance and acceptance for kids without
it being too obvious. And those dwarfs, justadorable, we say. Just check on the kids as
some parts may be a bit too creepy for them.Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
