Restaurants to
display calories
WHEN YOU’RE COUNTING calories, restaurant visits
can be a nightmare. All those different ingredients
with no way of accurately adding up the quantities
makes things a bit tough. Plus, with a picky eater in
tow, it can often be tricky to guarantee the kids will
eat the right stuff.
Dubai Municipality has revealed a new initiative
which will see every restaurant in the city displaying
nutritional information on their menus by 2020.
Each dish will have a calorie count, helping diners
understand the health values of what they’re eating.
Caesars Resort
unveils ROAM
DUBAI MAY BE home to hundreds of clubs for little ones, but
the cool, older kids now have a play spot that was created
just for them, too. ROAM, a dynamic space for teenagers, has
just opened its doors at Caesars Resort Bluewaters Dubai.
The creative space, which has been designed with the
modern teen’s needs in mind, features different game zones
each dedicated to a variety of activities including virtual
reality simulators – all compartmentalised and divided in
container-style fashion for the “chill” factor.
We’d love to hang out in this new spot.
O Free (hotel guests). Open daily 10am-midnight. Caesars Bluewaters
Resort Dubai, Bluewaters Dubai (04 556 6666).
Organic eats at OliOli
La Petite Treehouse Café at
OliOli play museum has created
a new menu offering nutritious
snacks and treats. From soups,
sandwiches and margharita pizza,
to mac and cheese, avocado toast,
croissants, cookies and cakes,
plenty of organic dishes were
added that even the pickiest of
eaters would love. Best of all, you
can visit the cute little spot on its
own, even if you’re not playing at
OliOli, and entry is free.
