7 REMOVE BOWL
Remove the fl oatbowl from the bottom of
the carb. If there is water in there you will
seethedropletsinthebottom.


8 SPRAYAWAY
Removethejetsaswellasthefloatand
needleandspraycarbycleanerthrough
themuntiltheyareclear.Thenspraycarby
cleanerthroughallthepassagesinthe
carbyuntiltheyareclear.Thendrythe
carbyandjetsusingcompressedair.


9 CLEANFILTER
Fitthejetsandfloatbackintothecarby
andthenrefitthefloatbowl.Thenit’s
almosttimetorefitthecarbyinthebike.
Beforeyoudo,removetheairfilterand
cleanit.Thencleanouttheairboxand
makesurethereisnodirtorwaterin
thebottom.


10 REFITCARBY
Refitthecarbyandtheslidebefore
tighteningallthemanifoldandairbox
bootclamps.


11 HOSEON
Refitthepetroltankandreconnectthefuel
line.Oncetheairfilterisdry,oilitandrefit
itintheairbox.Refittheseat.Turnthefuel
on,startthebikeandletitwarmupbefore
youletyourlittleracergoripit.

TIPS


DOS
1 Alwayscleantheairfilterandairbox
whenyoucleanthecarbytomakesure
thereisnowaterordirtinthere.
2 Changethesparkplugwhileyouhave
thefueltankoff.
3 Makesurethebikeiscleananddry
beforeremovingthecarby.
DON’TS
1 Don’tforcethecarbyoutoryoucould
breaktheplasticparts.
2 Over-tightenthefloatbowlscrews.It
maycausetheplastictocrack.
3 Forcetherubberairboxboottoofaror
itmaytear.

Carby cleaner and
compressed air can
severely damage your eyes
so always use safety
glasses when working with
them.
