again. Production in Taiwan and the

are not known and others are likely

beingkeptsecret.

In 10th place there is a newcomer

to the top tranche, Norway. Its four

projects are interesting. Chief

amongthemisREV,designedby

EspenØino–thelargestproject

underconstructionintheworld,

withalengthof595ftandaGT

reported to be greater than that of

Dilbar, currently the world’s biggest

yachtbygrosstonnage.Another

excitingproject,atUlstein,isa

290ft explorer yacht also by Øino.

Comparing countries by gross

tonnage, Italy leads again, followed

by Germany. With 353 projects in

Italyandonly15inGermany,the

contrast between average GTs is

stark: 371 versus 6,773 respectively.

Andbygrosstonnageratherthan

length, Norway, with its four giant

projects,isthefifthbuildernation.

Builders

Azimut-Benetti retains the title of

busiest builder, with 9,318ft of

projects,followedbyFerretti

GroupandSanlorenzo.Intermsof

actualnumberofhullsinbuild,

Ferretti Group tops the table. These

threeyardshaveseengoodorder

bookgrowth,intermsofhullsin

build–withAzimut-Benettiup18
