Midweek winter racing
snowballs at Broadwater
An informal midweek winter racing series is
proving popular at Broadwater SC in Middlesex.
Wednesday evening racing has been a part
of the club’s summer programme and a group
decided to start a midweek winter series –
through to March – on Wednesday mornings.
As David Kinnerley from the club reports,
numbers have snowballed; now in its second
year, the series regularly has numbers in
double figures, and 22 boats turned out for
the first Wednesday this winter. Organisation
is informal but there is safety boat cover.
