SUPERSAIL WORLD 50 APRIL-JUNE 2018
INOUÏ
33m
Design: Philippe Briand
Build: Green Marine/Vitters 2013
A reliable regular at the Superyacht Cup, Inouï is one
of the most distinctive and photographed of yachts.
The ‘green flash’ also boasts a well-tested, well-drilled
experienced set-up and crew. She is central to a group of
33-35m carbon composite performance yachts, which
includes Highland Fling, Missy, and WinWin, and can
expect to enjoy some closely fought racing
MISSY
33m
Design: Malcolm McKeon
Build: Green Marine/Vitters 2016
A supremely elegant modern, carbon composite
superyacht that turns heads wherever she goes.
Launched in 2016, the elegant, flush-decked Missy is
notable for her curvy glazed deck saloon and a teak
aft deck that lips gently over the top of the transom.
Following her racing debut at the Bucket in March, where
she won the Corinthian class, she has a taste for victory
and will be armed with an asymmetric at Palma
MARI-CHA III
44.7m
Design: Philippe Briand
Build: Sensation Yachts 1997
Striking and with quite a history, Mari-Cha III has always
been part speed machine and part superyacht. She broke
the transatlantic record in 1998 and is still the largest
yacht capable of being sailed entirely manually, though
she is now tricked out for short course inshore races.
She was refitted in Palma this winter and had her rig
extended, so now carries a lot more sail and should be
significantly faster
Q
52m
Design: Dubois
Build: Alloy Yachts 2008
Extensively refitted in Palma in 2016, with a new Scandinavian
theme and all-round performance upgrades, this big ketch
(formerly Mondango 2) has always been all about comfort,
with an open-plan saloon, flybridge area and a Jacuzzi on the
foredeck. She also sports North 3di sails and is set up
for superyacht racing
