Tied up at the Hyack Terminal in downtown Victoria are Mainline Marine Services’s 38-ft (11.6 m), 425-hp nanaimo huSky (ex
SeaSpan huSky, ex gulf roSemary, 1964, International Shipbuilders Ltd., Dollarton BC) and 35-ft (10.6 m), 240-hp eSQuimalt
II (1955, Allied Shipbuilders), with Ledcor’s 55-ft (16.8 m), 1,200-hp bill l ledcor (ex Storm titan, 2014, Damen Shipyard,
Netherlands) at the far right. Mainline Marine Services is based in Cobble Hill and runs a fleet of five tugs, two aluminum work
skiffs and a 24-ft (7.3 m) barge. The company has been doing work in the Victoria area for a while now (the crew was doing
some work with Blue Water Systems in Esquimalt when Western Mariner was in town), but until recently kept the boats in
Cowichan Bay.
