LARGEST ICED TEA
At 2,523.9 US gal (9,554 litres), the most voluminous iced tea
was made by the town of Summerville in South Carolina, USA,
on 10 Jun 2016. It was brewed using 210 lb (95.2 kg) of loose-
leaf tea and 1,700 lb (771.1 kg) of sugar. Organizers initially used
300 lb (136 kg) of ice to chill the tea. This failed to reduce the
beverage to the temperature of 45°F (7.2°C) required by GWR’s
rules, however, so hundreds of pounds of extra ice were added.

Tiramisu: Weighing in at 3,015 kg (6,646 lb)

2,070 kg (4,563 lb 9 oz) of rice pudding in
Krishnagiri, Tamil Nadu, India, on 31 May 2015.

Gumbo: Braud & Gallagher (USA) cooked up
5,800 lb (2,630 kg) of this signature Creole
dish in Larose, Louisiana, USA, on 7 Nov 2015.
That’s almost six times the weight of one of
the American alligators found in the area.

Grilled chicken: On 27 Feb 2016, Simplemente
Parrilla La Balanza (URY) grilled 6,487.9 kg
(14,303 lb 6 oz) of chicken in Maldonado, Uruguay

On 18 Sep 2016, a 56.50-m^2 (608.16-sq-ft) mosaic
of sushi was created by Leonardo Figueroa
Aguilar, Salten Aqua AS, Rå:Bra Sushi, Du Verden
Restaurant, Svolvær, AMJ Gruppen Bodø, Glimt,
Køltzow and Sparebank1 Nord-Norge (all NOR). It
was displayed in Aspyrma Stadion, Bodo, Norway.

Merz AG (both CHE) created a 433.56-kg (955-lb
13.3-oz) cake that contained no animal products
whatsoever. It was presented and weighed in

Halwa: Weighing 630 kg (1,388 lb 15 oz), heavier
than an adult polar bear, the largest halwa was
created by Al Hosni Omani Sweets and Murshid
