a marzipan statue
of his legendary
comic hero Don
Quixote. Unveiled
on 23 Apr 2016, the
statue measured
3.59 m (11 ft 9 in). It
took 300 hr to make,
and used 770 lb
(349 kg) of almonds.

(2,376 lb 9.33 oz) at the Park hotel in Bangalore,
Karnataka, India. It took more than 10 hr to
make and included 550 kg (1,212 lb) of crushed
cookies. It was later distributed to local schools.

Black Bear Casino Resort (USA) made
a 2,014‑lb (913.54‑kg) hamburger
in Carlton, Minnesota, USA,

Geographic Society (KAZ) made a beshbarmak
weighing 736.5 kg (1,623 lb 11.27 oz) – heavier
than a dromedary – in Astana, Kazakhstan.

On 3 Nov 2010, CANIRAC La Paz created a burrito
weighing 5,799.44 kg (12,785 lb 9 oz) in La Paz,
Baja California Sur, Mexico. Filled with fish, onion
and refried beans, it was made from a single
flour tortilla that weighed more than 2,000 kg
(4,409 lb) and measured 2.4 km (1.49 mi) long.

”The Giant Sicilian” has an area of 20 sq ft
(1.87 m^2 ) and is sold at Big Mama’s and Papa’s
Pizzeria in Los Angeles, California, USA. It can
be made with any topping, and is delivered in

On 27 Aug 2016, Ashrita Furman and the Sri
Chinmoy Centre (both USA) decorated a cake
with 72,585 candles in New York City, USA.
The cake was in honour of meditation teacher
Sri Chinmoy, on what would have been his
85th birthday. It topped the previous mark of
50,151 candles, set by Mike’s Hard Lemonade in
Los Angeles, California, USA, on 13 Apr 2016.
