Reigning Lord, the kings of the earth are in your hands. You stand
in their council chamber and know their thoughts. Judge of the earth,
rise up against the boastful and arrogant and rule over the nations.
Send your Son, the Prince of Peace, with glorious power to end
oppression and bring the day of his kingdom. Amen.^303

Conclusion
Lord, I want to live in your presence, on your holy mountain. Pour
your grace into my heart, and mould me to your will. Amen.^304
The Evening Office
Preparation
I come to you, Lord, as a dear child conscious of a thousand trans-
gressions. But I come with boldness born of love that grows daily
because of your mercies repeatedly given. I worship you, God and
Father, with all my heart and soul and strength. I love you; I trust you,
I delight in you; you are all in all to me. You have made an everlasting
covenant, ordered in all things and sure; therefore we are bound to
you with bonds that can never be broken. So with my spirit bowed I
adore and worship you, the only living and true God: Father, Son and
Holy Spirit, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.^305
