say something about it. I just tell them, “I did this presentation 20
minutes before the call, and it is not something that is scripted and
edited. I want to give you as much value as possible, and I'm a Ready,
Fire, Aim kind of guy.”


If you have a guest, ask them if they comment a lot, or if they want you
to run with the show. I always ask my co-host ahead of time, “So what
are your plans for the webinar? Are you going to jump in? If not, let me
know so I can start firing away.”


If there are problems with the shopping cart, tell your guests that you will
take care of them when you get off. So, the first webinar that we did,
when we did the fast action bonuses, and just blew the doors off, there
were so many people trying to get in and purchase at the same time. My
server could not handle it. It was throwing weird errors, and there were
people who didn’t get their email sign-up stuff.


There are going to be problems. Just be clear to your attendees, and say,
“Once I get off the webinar, I will take care of everything that goes into
the support desk. Here’s the support email and we’ll get it taken care of
right away.” People understand.


A server going down sometimes doesn’t actually even happen—it can be
a ploy to make everybody believe that the demand is a lot higher than
what it actually is.


If there is something that you don’t know, take down the person's email
and respond to them. Or, I’ll be on the webinar and people asked for
something, and I think, “You know what? That’s an awesome addition to
the training. It’s not in there, but it will be.”


Webinar Don’ts


Don't go from the start right into the pitch. You have to deliver value.
There has to be a bonding element. People have to know who you are,
where you came from, and why it matters, and they have to get some
value.


Don’t just leave only a few minutes for Q&A time. Do at least 15
minutes in order to make it worthwhile.


Don’t be an idiot to your co-host. Most times, these are his or her people,
so don't badmouth. Always be respectful of the person on the call with
you, because these are his folks. They came from his or her list. They
have a relationship with him or her, so make sure that you are courteous
