House & Home

(C. Jardin) #1

76 H&H SEPTEMBER 2016

ABOVE: The palette in the dining area complements the
adjoining living room with anchors of navy and cream and hits of
burnt orange. A built-in banquette tucked up beside the wall of
cabinetry defines the dining area and saves space. Walnut doors
and brushed-brass hardware elevate the bank of hardworking
built-ins. Banquette chairs Fia & Company; table Cabinet
Furniture; light fixture (over table) Pavilion; plant pot Quince
Flowers; wall colour Cloud White (OC-40) Benjamin Moore.
TOP RIGHT: A round coffee table facilitates flow and feels airy
thanks to its slatted design and reflective surfaces. The rug was
Erika’s jumping-off point for the loft’s palette. Rug table Elte.
RIGHT: In the kitchen Erika took advantage of the soaring ceilings
with a solid walnut shelving unit that reaches 9' high. Classic
quartz counters and elongated Carrara marble subway tiles keep
the kitchen’s lower half bright while the island offers more storage
and houses a wine fridge and microwave. Cabinetry Artcraft
Kitchens; counters Cambria; backsplash tile Saltillo Imports;
faucet Roman Bath Centre; bowl (on island) Martha Sturdy; white
oak flooring PurParket.
