Layers of melted clear, non-pigmented encaustic (bees-
wax and dammar resin) were brushed onto a cradled
wood support to which paper had been glued to the
surface. Old family photos were then scanned and printed
on matte photo paper, dipped into the encaustic, and
cal/aged onto the support. along with other mementos.
A burnt umber oil pigment stick glaze was applied and
rubbed off, leaving the oil stie¥. to fill the crevices, and
then fused with a heat gun.
