- With the working thread, sew through the
open holes of the 16 inward-facing SuperDuos
(figure 3, a–b). Retrace the thread path (not
shown in the figure for clarity) to cinch the
beads, securing the rivoli. Sew through the
next two SuperDuos as shown (b–c). - Flip the beadwork over to the front side, and
sew through the top-inside hole of the adjacent
QuadraLentil (figure 4, point a). - Pick up two color A 15 0 seed beads, and
sew through the open top-outer hole of the
QuadraLentil (a–b). Pick up two color B 15 0
seed beads, a 3 mm bicone crystal, and a B.
Skip the last B added, and sew back through the
crystal (b–c). Pick up two Bs, and sew through
the top-outer hole of the same QuadraLentil,
going in the same direction (c–d). Pick up two
As, sew through the top-inner hole of the same
QuadraLentil (figure 5, a–b) to complete the
point, and continue through the next Nib-bit
and QuadraLentil (TI) (b–c). Repeat these
stitches seven times to complete the round. - Flip the beadwork over to the back. Sew
through the next two SuperDuos and the open
hole of the same SuperDuo (figure 6, a–b). - Pick up a GemDuo bead (BH), and sew
through the open hole of the next QuadraLentil
(BO) (b–c).
10) Pick up a Pip bead, and sew through the
open hole of the next SuperDuo (c–d). Pick up
a Pip, and sew through the open hole of the next
QuadraLentil (BO) (d–e). Repeat these stitches
twice (e–f).
11) Pick up a GemDuo (TH), and sew through
the open hole of the next SuperDuo (f–g).
12) Repeat steps 9–11 to complete the round,
but pick up each GemDuo through the top
hole (g–h). Retrace the thread path of the round
to cinch the beads (not shown in the figure for
clarity), and sew through the next GemDuo and
the open hole of the same GemDuo (h–i). End
the tail, but not the working thread.
13) Work as in steps 1–12 to make a total of four
components for a 6¾-in. (17.1 cm) bracelet, not
including the clasp.
ASSEMBLY
1) Place a component face up on your work
surface so the working thread and two GemDuos
are pointing toward the top of your mat. Place
a second component above the first component
with the working thread and GemDuos in the
same position.
2) With the working thread of the first compo-
nent, pick up a GemDuo (BH), and sew through
the open hole of the adjacent GemDuo in the
same component (figure 7 a–b).
3) Pick up a GemDuo (BH), and sew through
the open hole of the same GemDuo (b–c).
Continue through the open hole of the corre-
sponding GemDuo on the second component
(c–d), the open hole of the first GemDuo just
added (d–e), and the open hole of the next
GemDuo in the second component (e–f).
4) Pick up a GemDuo (TH), sew through the
open hole of the same GemDuo, and continue
through the top hole of the adjacent GemDuo
on the first component (f–g). Retrace the thread
path through the connection, and end the work-
ing thread on the first component.
5) Continue working in the same manner
to join the remaining two components.
CLASP
1) Attach a 4 mm jump ring to each loop of the
box clasp if not already attached.
2) With the working thread on the last compo-
nent added, pick up a GemDuo (BH), and sew
through the next GemDuo (TH) in the compo-
nent (figure 8, a–b). Pick up GemDuo (BH),
and sew through the open hole of the same
GemDuo (b–c).
3) Pick up a GemDuo (BH), and sew through
the open hole of the next GemDuo (c–d). Pick
up a GemDuo (BH) and a GemDuo (TH), and
sew through the open hole of the same GemDuo
