Creek Beavers came through with
Michigan High School Athletic
Association district baseball cham-
pionship trophies last Saturday (June
- to advance to regional semifinal
play that took place yesterday (June
5).
- In a Division 1 district hosted by
Lakeview, in the semifinal round,
LHS defeated Jackson 15-0 in three
innings while Battle Creek Central
forfeited 1-0 to Holt.
Then, in the title game, the
Spartans defeated Holt 7-1 – advanc-
ing LHS (18-11-1) to a regional
semifinal yesterday (June 5) at Grand
Ledge against Okemos (22-9).
The winner of that game will then
play in a regional final this Saturday
(June 8) at 12:30 p.m. at Northville
High – with a state quarterfinal
between regional final victors at the
LHS, HC prevail in prep baseball districts
