Ridged Hexagon


This stitch pattern is eye-catching not only for its raised rounds
(perfect for kitchen scrubbies) but also for its color changing rounds.


V-Stitch (v-st): [Dc, ch 1, dc] in same sp.


Ch 6, sl st to 1st ch to form a ring.


Rnd 1 (RS): Ch 3 (counts as dc), v-st 5 times in ring, dc in ring, ch
1, sl st to top of t-ch, fasten off, do not turn—12 dc.


Rnd 2: Join new color to ch-1 sp with sl st, ch 3 (counts as dc), BPdc
around t-ch, BPdc around next dc, v-st in next ch-1 sp, BPdc around
ea dc across to ch-1 sp; rep from
around to 1st ch-1 sp, dc in 1st
ch-1 sp, ch 1, sl st to top of t-ch, fasten off, do not turn—24 dc.


Rnd 3: Join new color to ch-1 sp with sl st, ch 3 (counts as dc),
BPdc around t-ch, BPdc around ea dc to ch-1 sp, v-st in next ch-1
sp, BPdc around ea dc across to ch-1 sp; rep from
around to 1st
ch-1 sp, dc in 1st ch-1 sp, ch 1, sl st to top of t-ch, fasten off
color, do not turn—36 dc.


Rep rnd 3 to desired size. Each additional rnd adds 12 dc.
