Are egg whites better than whole eggs for my health?
No. Egg whites are devoid of the hearthealthy omega-3 fatty acids
found in the yolks. Eat eggs with their yolks regularly, especially
from pasture-fed and freerange chickens in order to avoid hormones
and antibiotics.
Where can I find macadamia butter, almond butter, and coconut milk?
Supermarkets are beginning to stock these products. If you cannot find
them, healthfood stores are your best bet for these healthy fats.
Which fruits are preferred on the Perfect 10 Diet?
All fruits are permitted on the Perfect 10 Diet. However, berries,
cherries, and cantaloupes are favored, as these fruits have less sugar.
Highfat fruits, such as coconut, are encouraged for those who have
trouble losing weight, since they can stabilize insulin levels.
Do you recommend low-fat or lowcarb condiments on the Perfect 10
Diet?
Neither. I am not a fan of any processed food. Lowcarb condiments
contain sugar and alcohol, which can cause bloating, as well as
artificial sweeteners. I am also disturbed by the use of partially
hydrogenated oil in many of these lowcarb products. If you must
buy a lowcarb condiment or product, look for one that doesn’t
contain partially hydrogenated oil or soy protein isolate.
