Allah and His Messenger, and diedwhile they were sinners.٨٥

كمْ
ُ
هوَ
85 Do not let their possessions andtheir children impress you. Allahdesires to torment them throughthem in this world, and their soulsexpire while they are disbelievers.٨٦

ال

ق وَ مْ

نرْ
َ
ذ
َ
يندِعِ
ٰ
َ
ق
ْ
ٱل
86 When a chapter is revealed,stating: “Believe in Allah and strivewith His Messenger,” the prominentamong them ask you for exemption.They say, “Allow us to stay withthose who stay behind.”عَ مَ ٨٧

فِِال ضرَ

َ

ْ
ٱل
ٰ
ى
َ
عَ عَ ل

لامْ
ُ

َ
فمْ
ِ
ه

وب
ُ
ل
ُ
ق
87 They prefer to be with those whostay behind. Their hearts weresealed, so they do not understand.٨٨

عَه مَ

ُ
ۥ نامَ ءَ

ن ف

َ
و مْ
ِ
هِل
ٰ
َ
ومْ
َ
أ
ِ
مُ ب
ُ
ه
َ
كَ لِئ
ٓ
ٰ

و۟ ل

أ
ُ
ت
ٰ
رَ
ْ
ي
َ
خ
ْ
ۖ ٱل
مُ
ُ
كَ هئِ
ٓ
ٰ
َ
و۟ ل
ُ
أ
َ
و
َ
ونحُِل
ْ
فمُ
ْ
ٱل
88 But the Messenger and those whobelieve with him struggle with theirpossessions and their lives. Thesehave deserved the good things.These are the successful.٨٩

َ

َكِل
ٰ
َ
ذ ۚ اي هَ ف ِ

ي ندِ لِ
ٰ
َ
خ
ُ
زوْ
َ
ف
ْ
يمُ عَ ظِ ٱل
ْ
ٱل
89 Allah has prepared for themgardens beneath which rivers flow,wherein they will abide forever. Thatis the great victory.ءَ ٩٠

ابرَعْ

ْ
مْ ٱلأ

واُب

ذ

ي بُ صِ ۚ ۥ و

ي مٌ ِل ٱل

ا بٌ أ

ع َ ذ مْ

هْنم ِ

و ارُ

ف
َ
ك
90 Some of the Desert-Arabs came tomake excuses, asking to be grantedexemption, while those who wereuntrue to Allah and His Messengerstayed behind. A painful punishmentwill afflict those among them whodisbelieved.ى ٩١

ٱلل

يمحِ ر َّ
ٌ
ور

غ
91 There is no blame on the weak,nor on the sick, nor on those whohave nothing to give, provided theyare true to Allah and His Messenger.In no way can the righteous beblamed. Allah is Forgiving andMerciful.
