15 We have enjoined upon mankindness to his parents. His mothercarried him with difficulty, anddelivered him with difficulty. Hisbearing and weaning takes thirtymonths. Until, when he has attainedhis maturity, and has reached fortyyears, he says, “Lord, enable me toappreciate the blessings You havebestowed upon me and upon myparents, and to act withrighteousness, pleasing You. Andimprove my children for me. I havesincerely repented to You, and I amof those who have surrendered.”
