whichmakeupthematerialsideofnature-the
three gunas (qualities) and the seven tattvas
(elements) composingthis material side as the
three Logoiandthe seven Spiritscomposethe
lifeorenergyside.
Whenwethink ofthe Logos asthe Selfof
all, wethink of Him as One,as the Lord of
theworld and of men. The highest LoGOS,
we have heard, is One who has climbed the
ladderof Being until Hecan hold Hiscentre
of consciousness. Himself unparalysed, fully
conscious, amid the mighty vibrations of the
Great Life. Coming into manifestation He
limits Himself to be thechannel of that One
Lifetoauniverse; Hehasbeenmaninanin-
calculable past, and has risen through every
phaseof superhumanbeingto the highest level
systemperfectedatitsclose),andoutofthisarisemultiplesoften.
Or,thiscentralthreebeingregardedasaunit,eightrepresentsthe
oneandseven,andmultiplesofeightresult. Furthergroupings
appearwheneachofthesethreesorsixes,orsevens,istakenas
as double, positive-negalive,male-female,etc. Butthisnumber
systeminallitsramificationsisloobigtodealwithhere.
