Sprout Power
Sprouts contain some of the most abundant life forces on the planet—they’re the potential energy of a whole plant. When given the opportunity
to sprout, a seed will spend as much energy as possible to get a root in the earth and a leaf up to heaven. In doing so, a sprout creates more
concentrated nutrition per ounce than it ever will in its entire life. Grow your own sprouts, following the simple directions here.
SERVES 1 OR 2
4 medium tomatoes, cored
1 cup loosely packed sunflower sprouts
½ cup alfalfa sprouts
Juice of ½ lemon
1 teaspoon powdered kelp
1 teaspoon nutritional yeast (optional)
Process the tomatoes and the sprouts through a juicer into a bowl. Stir in the lemon juice, kelp, and yeast. Pour into a glass and serve.
