TULLE-Y AMAZING ‘I couldn’t
have asked for a more perfect
wedding gown,’ says Elizabeth.
Brad, of Darb Bridal Couture, made
her perfect dress come to life over
weeks of fittings which started with
a calico pattern and evolved into an
ethereal masterpiece. ‘The French
lace was intricately detailed,’ says
the bride, ‘and we wanted to
highlight it as much as possible, so
Brad crafted the entire dress from
sheer tulle.’ For her bridesmaids,
Elizabeth chose pink beaded gowns
with laser-cut lace, and cream
fox-fur stoles. ‘They looked
like they had stepped
straight out of The
Great Gatsby movie
set,’ says Elizabeth.
ENCHANTING
MOMENT The couple
married according to
Jewish tradition, in
honour of Grant’s family
faith. Topiaries lined the aisle to the
Chuppah (canopy), which was set
against an ivy wall backdrop and
featured a crystal chandelier. When
the bride enters the Chuppah, says
Elizabeth, ‘she has to walk around
her groom seven times. It was a
spiritual moment as both of us
thought about and committed
ourselves to the kind of home we
want to establish together. There
was a palpable intensity between
us, even though we weren’t
touching or looking at one another.’
