COULD
HELP YOU SCORE A JOB?
ttention everyone with a public profile:
your life is officially as open as the DOLLY
magazine in front of you! Yep, everyone
can check out what you post, including the
companies you’re hoping to work with. For
your potential employer, finding you on Instagram
and scanning your account is an easy way to see
if you’re a good fit before they even ask you in
for an interview. So here’s what hiring managers
at two of Australia’s coolest retailers like to see
in a candidate. Meet Nicole Dyson, the retail
operations manager at Supré, and Jo Barr, the
recruitment and operations manager at Cotton On.
1
Post your interests. If you’re
interested in landing a job in
a particular field like fashion or
food, showcase this in your feed.
2
Show your best self. Make sure
that your account portrays the
awesome person you really are!
Ditch any posts that are negative,
discriminatory or at all offensive,
and swearing is a definite no-no.
3
Bullying is not on. Focus on
positive conversations in your
comments. If someone happens to
post something inappropriate about
you or someone else, delete the post
stat. You don’t need it on your feed!
