Loving Meditation

This is a great meditation to bring compassion and love
into your life. In practicing a Loving meditation, we always
start with ourselves and then send the love out to others.
There are various ways to do this meditation, simply by
changing the mantra.


To practice the Loving meditation, follow the steps below.



  1. Start in Easy pose or any other comfortable seated
    position. Use any props that are necessary to help you relax
    and sit with ease.

  2. Close your eyes. Start to bring your attention to the breath.
    Focus on the breath to settle into your meditation.

  3. Focus in on the center of your chest, your heart center.
    Notice any sensations you feel there. Heaviness, happiness,
    joy, sadness. Observe these feelings, then let them go.

  4. Continue to focus on the heart center and its movements
    as you breathe.

  5. Pick one of the mantras below or make one up for
    yourself. Continue to breathe into the heart center.
