Kylie Jenner’s lip kits, but they’re hard to get
hold of so I thought I’d bring out my own range

  • Mouthy by Megan McKenna – of nudes and
reds and glossies. Plus, I’ve got my own range
    of blow-dried clip-in hair extensions.
How do you cope with being a coeliac? I was
diagnosed quite young, about 11. It changed
my life. I can’t eat anything with gluten in it

  • so no bread or pasta, but also things like
biscuits, sweets, sauces and alcohol. I do
drink, but not a lot. The hangovers are so bad.
Then last year I was diagnosed with irritable
bowel syndrome so I have to be even more
careful. Exercise-wise, I don’t have time for the
gym but I’m running around 24/7, plus I walk
    my dog Daisy every day.
Is having millions of Instagram followers a big
responsibility? Yes. The majority who follow
me are young girls and they look up to me.
People like my story because I’ve worked hard
to make it as a singer. I’m not flashy in my
fashion. I don’t like to show too much. I’m the
opposite – the more clothes the better. I love
a bit of layering, you shouldn’t bare all.
Do you have a style icon? American singer-
songwriter Kacey Musgraves – she’s very boho,
hippy and I love her hair. She inspired me to
get mine cut. I feel it’s more grown-up.
Are you a hoarder or do you clear out your
wardrobe each season? I’m very OCD.
Everything is in compartments and my clothes
are no exception. I have a walk-in wardrobe
that leads from my bedroom, with a shoe and
bag gallery, plus all my clothes on display. I’ve
got masses of clothes but I get rid of a lot, too.
How many shoes and handbags do you own?
I’ve never counted but I must have well over
100 pairs of shoes. Less handbags.

Are you a fan of vintage? Yes, more so as I’m
getting older.
Which are your favourite high-street brands?
Urban Outfitters and Topshop.
Who is your favourite designer? Louis Vuitton.
What do you like to wear on the red carpet?
I always choose a gown from Dress2Party. I
wore a gorgeous floral design by Sherri Hill to
the premiere of Aladdin. Another favourite is a
silver and gold diamanté dress by Mac Duggal
I wore to the Pride of Britain Awards.
What is the best fashion advice you have
been given? When you wear something a bit
out there, rock it. Looking good is about owning
it, with confidence.
What is your current favourite outfit? I’ve
got two. My boho off-the-shoulder beach
dress worn with cowboy boots and my tailored,
knitted lounge suit from Studio Mouthy, which
I wear with Nike trainers.
Is there an “old favourite” you turn to in a
wardrobe crisis? A strappy black dress. I’ve
had it so long I can’t remember where I got it.
How much do you spend on clothes each
month? If I’m going on a splurge it can be a
couple of thousand, but that would last a while

  • I’m not ridiculous. But I will splash out on
something I really love, like my rhinestone
cowboy boots. But I’ll mix it up with high street.
What is the most expensive item in your
wardrobe? And best bargain? My Louis
Vuitton bag which cost just under £3,000. Best
    bargain? I dunno.
What is the oldest item in your wardrobe? My
    nan’s gold sovereign necklace.
Who would you like to make your wedding
dress? I haven’t really looked into it – but when
I do get married I’ll do a lot of research, then

FASHION

I’ll probably have to take out a mortgage for
the dress and wear my cowboy boots.
What is the one item of clothing you couldn’t
live without? Nike retro-look trainers and my
Studio Mouthy lounge suits.
What is your favourite accessory? I love
a cap. I’ve got over 50 but my favourite is the
one I bought from the Bluebird Café when
I performed in Nashville. I brought home all the
souvenirs – T-shirts, mugs, fridge magnets, you
name it...
What is your favourite piece of jewellery? My
nan’s necklace and my Cartier ring and bangle.
I never take them off.
Have you ever made a fashion faux pas? When
I came out of Big Brother I’d backbrushed my
hair at the front, like a beehive. It was huge –
I looked like a lollipop. I’m so different now.
I started the New Year as a cooler blonde with
a quirky new cut. I don’t want to be a stereotype.
Getting rid of the long hair is the best thing
I’ve done. Brendan Drayton at Easilocks did it.
I can’t imagine being a brunette ever again.
What item of clothing would you save from
a burning house? Daisy would be straight
under my arm then I’d grab my Swarovski
crystal cowboy boots. It would kill me if they
got burnt.
