Hover over any podcast and a Play
button appears, which you can click
to stream the latest episode: that is,
listen to it online without storing it.
Clicking the three dots gives you the
option to subscribe. Or click the
thumbnail or title for a detailed view
with a description and a list of
episodes. Here you can add episodes
to your library or subscribe,
meaning all future episodes areadded. (This doesn’t automatically

Adding just means the Podcasts app
(here and on other iCloud-synced
devices) remembers you added this
episode, and it’ll be listed in the

you can listen to without an internet
connection or after the show
disappears from the iTunes Store,
you also need to download it. In
Settings, accessed from the three
dots icon beside Subscribe, you can
customize which episodes play. As
in Music and TV, there’s an Up Next

When you type into the search box at the top
left, suggestions appear in the main view —
not in a pop-up menu, as in the Music and TV
apps. Pressing Return displays the final results.SEEN AND HEARD
The top items in the sidebar access podcasts
on the iTunes Store. You can also add podcasts
by going to File > Add a Show by URL. Podcasts
added to your library are organized below.PICK AND CHOOSE
The Up Next list, similar to those in Music and
TV, is accessed from the menu icon at the top
right, and lets you cue up multiple episodes
(which can be from different podcasts) to
autoplay in turn.CUT OUT AND KEEP
Hover over an episode and click Play to stream
it, or the plus sign at the right to add it to
your library; the cloud icon downloads it. Click
Subscribe to get the latest and future episodes.
