paper towel, I decided to allow
the wash to completely dry over
a few hours and then remove
with an old worn our Blue
Sanding Stick. In my opinion,
this method gives a better worn
in look and gives a sort of dusty
appearance which was the
lock I was going for. The only
drawback is that if the sander


is too harsh then you can rub
through the paint, which did
happen to me on the leading
edges of the wings. Rather than
go back and paint this section
again, I decided to add this into
the weathering later on when
oils were to be used. Once this
was had been removed as much
as I could, it was time to wipe it
all down with a little satin cloth
to remove any dust. The good
thing about sanding the wash
of is that it leaves the surface

I used the IDF three tone
pattern of sand....
