Movingforwardto 2019 ,andwithSam
makingthedecisionthatshewasgoingto
startusingthescooterontheroad,she
commissionedherpal,CraigBodell(a.k.a.
‘Bogie’)tocompleteafullenginerebuild
andoverhaul,whichincludedalongwith
newcablesthemaininternalelementsof
bearings,sealsandassociated
components.Nowreadyfortheroad,the
scooterrunsonamodestandpracticalset
upusingtheoriginalGP 200 gearboxand
standardtop-end.Fuelisdeliveredbya
30 mmDellortocarb,whichissupported
byaTSREVOexhaust.“It’saneat,
reliablesetupandgivesmeagoodrange
ofperformancethroughthegears.I’mstill
runningitinatthemoment,soI’mnot
pushingittoohard.Thehandlingisgood,
butagainasIincreasethemilesonthe
scooterI’llbegintoincreasethe
demands,”saidSam.
It’salwaysapleasuretoreview
testosteronepumpingrace-replica
street-racers,butit’sequallyrefreshingto
exploreagentlerandfeminineapproach
toscooterbuilds.It’scleartoseethat
Sam’sscooterhasbeendevelopedwith
welloveraglass-and-a-halfofscooterand
chocolatelove.It’sadifferentthemefrom
thenormandthat’soneofthesecretsof
itsuniqueness;itworksandit’sinspiring
in itsown right.

It’saneat, reliable set up

and gives me agoodrange of

performance through the gears. I’m

stillrunningitinatthe moment, so I’m

not pushing it too hard. The handling

is good, but again asIincreasethe

miles on the scooter I’ll begin to

increase the demands.
