Ayush Admissions

all the above courses are through Ayush admissions.
There are two types of counselling for these courses – one
at the national level and the other at the state level. The
All India Counselling for 15 percent seats is conducted
through AYUSH Admissions Central Counselling Commit-
tee (AACCC). Counselling for All India Quota seats is for
15% of the seats in all Government, Government Aided, Pri-
vate/Deemed Universities/Central Universities/National
Institutes (with the exception of Jammu and Kashmir)
across the country.
Counselling for this year started from June 25 and will
consist of two rounds followed by a mop up round for cen-
tral/deemed and national institutes only. Any vacant seats in
the institutes will be pooled into the state quota. Candidates
must register on the official website (https://medicalcoun-
seling.nic.in/aacccug.) on the basis of their NEET marks,
choose the colleges and courses and complete the admission
process.
All states hold their own individual counselling for the
remaining 85 percent seats and students have to check the
details on the respective websites. Eligibility in states differs
mostly in terms of domicile or resident status as the prefer-
ence is given to candidates who belong to or have studied in
the states.
Admissions to veterinary courses
The process is the same as the Ayush or MBBS/BDS admis-
sions but counselling is through the Veterinary Council of
India (https://aipvt.vci.nic.in/).The process will start from
July 4 for the All-India Counselling for 15 percent of the
seats across all institutes in the country (except Jammu and
Kashmir). Counselling for the rest of the 85 percent will be at
the state level through the respective state authorities.
Students looking for options in medicine other than MBBS
or BDS can look at these courses. With the shift and focus on
holistic living, and healthy lifestyles, these options become
all the more important for students wishing to look for a
career in medicine.
