9. Add an L to each side of the 3 paws.

10. Join the 3 paws together and press the seams open.
    Add the paws to the top and bottom rectangles.

Join the paws and add to the rectangles.

11. Add Border 9 to the right side of the quilt.

Appliquéd On-Point Squares

You will need 6 squares 1 ̋ × 1 ̋ for the borders, 11

squares 1/2 ̋ × 1/2 ̋ for the borders, and Double Bear’s

Paws in the star, and 1 square 3/4 ̋ × 3/4 ̋ for the center.

2. Appliqué the squares to the quilt surface.
