Clean market stalls, it’s safe to have a typical Cochabamba
breakfast of api (hot corn cereal drink) and buñuelos (a
greasy pastry).

This establishment is often recommended. We have
eaten there just to say we’ve experienced the typical
Cochabamba dish called silpancho, which is a flattened,
fried steak with a fried egg on top, along with an onion-
tomato salad, rice and and fried potatoes. Like it or not,
at least you’re not in a tourist place.
 Plaza Colón (north side)
Just north of Plaza Colón on the Avenida Ballivián boulevard
is a row of several European style restaurants with
pavement seating. Economically priced lunches, mainly
of traditional Bolivian cuisine but some international
as well.


Sucre


Aside from the listed entries, the traveller will find several
interesting restaurants and cafés in the vicinity of Plaza
