Monochrome images will often stand up to stronger local adjustments than color
photos. These kinds of edits are often best done on raw photos, as raws contain the
maximum amount of dynamic range that your camera is capable of capturing. As such, you
can apply heavy dodging and burning to your raws with the Adjustment Brush to selectively
lighten or darken areas of the image.
